SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. —

Police in Simpsonville are investigating a deadly shooting.

Officers were called out to apartments in the 200 block of Buck Creek Road just after midnight. That's not far from the Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass.

They say they found a woman in her 40s who had been shot and killed inside the apartment.

Simpsonville's police chief didn't have a lot of further details, but did say the woman lived there with her son.
