Dump Truck Crashes Into Utility Pole In Hawthorne

A dump truck slammed into a utility pole Wednesday morning, Oct. 29, in Hawthorne.

The crash happened around 7:40 a.m. at Goffle Hill Road and Fairview Avenue.

The driver self-extricated from the vehicle and escaped with only minor injuries, police said.

The roadway is expected to remain closed as PSE&G makes repairs.
