LISBON The Columbiana County Prosecutor’s Office and the Columbiana County Humane Society have confirmed their involvement in the ongoing investigation into the discovery of dead horse remains at Pure Gold Stables in Salem Township.
The investigation began after a person who was reportedly planning to lease the property, found the remains of multiple horses in stables on the property. Shannon Gates, vice president of the humane society, confirmed to news media that four deceased horses were found at the site.
The Columbiana County Prosecutor’s Office publicly stated it has offered its resources to the Columbiana County Humane Society and the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office, which are currently the lead investigative agencies.
