The administration of President Donald Trump has fired all six members of a group that would have been involved in overseeing the president’s Washington building projects.

The group, the Commission on Fine Arts, advises federal officials on design matters and preservation.

The commission had expected to review Trump’s White House ballroom project and his plans for a new triumphal arch across from the Lincoln Memorial, according to The Washington Post .

The arch would be built in honor of the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding in 2026, officials have said.

The president appoints members of the commission to four-year terms. Former President Joe Biden had appointed all six members Trump ousted.

Biden had previously fired some of Trump’s earlier appointees.
