Vice President JD Vance said the prospect of running for president in 2028 with Secretary of State Marco Rubio as his running mate would be "unstoppable" during an interview with the New York Post 's Miranda Devine for her Pod Force One podcast released on Wednesday (October 29).

Vance, 41, called Rubio "my best friend in the administration" and said President Donald Trump floated the idea when they had lunch together six months ago.

“We try to get lunch every couple of weeks just to catch up on what’s going on and talk about things,” Vance said of his lunch meetings with Trump.
