WESTFIELD — Josie Moore’s fantasy of becoming a renowned fiction illustrator is coming true.
The 20-year-old college student from Westfield has won an international contest that pitted her against thousands of other artists from around the world.
The announcement came from Hollywood: judges for the L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future Contest named Moore one of a dozen illustrators that will have their work published in the anthology, “L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 42,” which is being released around the world next April.
Past editions have been best sellers.
With a focus on fantasy, Moore is majoring in illustration at the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth.
