RUTLEDGE – Grainger wraps up it’s 2025 season this week as they travel to Seymour for a Thursday night game.
Missing an extra day of practice presents unique challenges Grainger head coach Michael Manis said. “It speeds up everything. You don’t get that extra day of teach tape and film that is the introduction day for the new wrinkles or new tendencies. You have to kind of work through all that in practice and get those reps in.”
Seymour has been one of the more pleasant surprises in East Tennessee football this season. After going a combined 2-18 over the past two seasons, the Eagles have a chance to even their record at 5-5 if they get past the Grizzlies on Thursday. Two of their four wins are against Sevier County rivals Pigeon Forge and Northview Academy. They are coming off a 42-14
