CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are searching for the driver accused of striking a bicyclist on the city's West Side on Tuesday.

The crash happened at about 4:35 p.m. at the (intersection of Damen Avenue and Van Buren Street, police said.
A bicyclist was heading northbound on Damen when they were struck by a red Ford Fusion, police said.
Police said the bicyclist had serious personal injuries.
The driver left the scene. Police said the vehicle had an Illinois plate of "BN 64959."
The car also had damage to the rear side.
