With approximately 140,000 Rhode Islanders receiving help from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program , formerly known as food stamps, and with the federal government shutdown now entering its fourth week the $28 million monthly disbursement the state receives is now in jeopardy.

Aquidneck Food Pantry
The Aquidneck Food Pantry offers pre-set amounts of packaged and fresh items for pickup based on the number of adults and children being picked up for. Additional fresh items supplement pickups as they are available.
Hours of Operation: Wednesdays and Fridays: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Location: 81 Sprague St., Portsmouth.
