Aidan Hutchinson will be a Detroit Lion for the foreseeable future.
Per several reports, the Lions and Hutchinson have agreed upon a four-year extension. As of this publication, details have not emerged on the compensation.
UPDATE: Per Adam Schefter, the contract is worth $180 million over four years, an average of $45 million a year. $141 million of that is guaranteed. Those numbers are actually lower than the extension Micah Parsons got with the Packers (four-years, $186 million)—although Parsons only got $136 million guaranteed.
Albert Breer reports that Hutchinson is signed through 2030, indicating this four-year extension has been tackled onto Hutchinson’s already-exercised fifth-year option in 2026.
