SHREVEPORT, La. — Music history and the charitable mission of legendary guitarist James Burton take center stage for this week's ArkLaTex Made segment.

Rick Rowe shines the spotlight on Burton, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Country Music Hall of Fame member, and the work of his foundation, ahead of the James Burton International Guitar Festival , next month.

For two decades, Burton, who played with Elvis Presley and Ricky Nelson, has been providing free guitars to schools, veterans, and children’s hospitals across the United States and Europe through his foundation.

The festival's signature event, a special benefit concert, will be held on Friday, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m. at the Horseshoe Riverdome in Bossier City.
