LACLEDE COUNTY, Mo. (KOLR) – Ten high school students required medical attention after the tour bus they were riding to the National Future Farmers of America (FAA) Convention rolled in rural Missouri on Wednesday.
A spokeswoman for the Missouri Highway Patrol Troop I said the bus was carrying about 50 high school students from three communities when it was traveling on Highway A near Phillipsburg, roughly 40 miles outside of Springfield.
The tour bus, carrying students from Bolivar, Fair Play, and Dadeville schools, slid off a curvy road in heavy rain and rolled on its side, according to Corporal Ralicia Tyler of the highway patrol.
The 10 students who were transported for medical care had minor injuries, according to the spokeswoman. The other students were taken to nearby Conway High
