Nashik, Oct 29 (UNI) Tragedy struck a group of pilgrims from Gujarat on their way to the Shirdi Sai Baba shrine in Maharashtra early today when their car met with an accident leaving three persons dead and four others including the driver seriously injured.
Police said the driver apparently lost control over the vehicle and it rammed into a road divider spinning several times on the Nashik–Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Highway near Erandgaon–Raite village in Nashik district. The pilgrims were travelling from the Textile and Diamond city of Surat to Shirdi. The identity of the passengers has not been establised.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem, while the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of
