New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) Leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have held the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led municipal corporation and Delhi government responsible for the death of a six-year-old girl, who drowned in a waterlogged area in the Rama Vihar colony of Mundka last week. The AAP has demanded a compensation of one crore rupees for the victim’s family and an immediate resolution to the waterlogging, which they allege is a direct result of garbage from the Bhalswa landfill being dumped in the area, blocking drainage systems.

The incident occurred on the evening of October 23. According to AAP officials who visited the site, the child fell into a waterlogged plot and her body was recovered by local residents hours later.
