TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Chicken Salad Chick in Bradenton announced it is allowing kids to eat free until the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits are restored.
The restaurant said any child visiting the Bradenton location will receive a free kids' meal until SNAP benefits are restored in Florida.
"We are not taking sides or making this political. We just believe that no child should ever go hungry," Chicken Salad Chick (Bradenton, FL) said in a post on Facebook.
There is one kids' meal per child, and the child must be present and eat in the dining room. No purchase is necessary.
"Let’s look out for our children, who are both our most vulnerable and most valuable. They are our future," Chicken Salad Chick (Bradenton, FL) said.
