ALLENDALE — Freshman midfielder Karli Koskinen scored her first career goal, however the Michigan Tech Huskies soccer team fell 6-1 to No. 5 nationally-ranked Grand Valley State at the GVSU Soccer Field on Sunday.

Michigan Tech (2-12-1, 2-8-1 GLIAC) allowed four first half goals including a penalty kick and two additional goals in the second half. Grand Valley State (12-2-0, 9-1-0 GLIAC) fired 39 shots on the day, landing 18 on goal to go with nine corner kicks.
