MUNCIE, IN —An apparent suicide on Muncie's south side on Wednesday morning, Oct. 29, is under investigation.

Emergency responders were called to train tracks near Cherry and Ninth streets shortly after 7 a.m.

Initial indications were that a person had laid down on the tracks as a train approached.

Delaware County Coroner Gavin Greene was investigating the death. He identified the deceased person as a 22-year-old man from Muncie.
