A fundraising calendar featuring only female firefighters has been released in support of breast cancer research.
For the first time in New Zealand's history, women firefighters are joining their male counterparts in releasing a charity calendar with proceeds going directly to research.
Thirteen firefighters from nine stations across three cities feature in the calendar, with the group aiming to sell at least 5,000 copies.
Breast Cancer CURE , a Kiwi non-profit trust dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer, will receive 100% of the proceeds.
The newly founded WÄhine Toa Firefighter Calendar group was organized by career firefighter Nicole Koch.
Nicole said: "The guys have always had their own calendar, and we thought – why not us too?
"We work hard
