Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Wednesday ridiculed BJP leader B. Sriramulu’s allegation that the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister had contributed ₹300 crore in “black money” for the Bihar elections.

Responding to reporters’ questions, Shivakumar quipped, “It was actually the money given by Sriramulu himself to the Congress party that we sent to Bihar.”

Sriramulu had earlier accused the state’s top Congress leaders of sending unaccounted funds to influence the Bihar polls, a charge Shivakumar dismissed in a sarcastic tone, turning the allegation back at the BJP leader.
