NEW YORK, N.Y. - Following a legendary 60-home run season, Seattle Mariners' catcher Cal Raleigh wins the MLBPA Players Choice Awards' Player of the Year and American League Most Outstanding Player.

Raleigh is the first Seattle player to win the overall Player of the Year nod, and he's the fourth Mariners player to win the AL award, joining Alex Rodriguez (1996, 1998), Ken Griffey Jr. (1997) and Ichiro Suzuki (2004).

Raleigh broke the all-time single-season catcher, switch-hitter and Seattle home run record this season with 60, and he's a finalist for the American League Most Valuable Player award.
