Multiple national NFL reporters raised eyebrows when they recently suggested that the Cleveland Browns could trade star pass-rusher Myles Garrett this fall after Cleveland signed him to a four-year, $160M contract extension that included $123.5M guaranteed this past offseason.
It sounds like somebody within the Browns wanted to silence such chatter well before the trade deadline arrives at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Browns have reportedly made final call about possible Myles Garrett trade
On Wednesday afternoon, Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported that she has been told there is "zero chance" the club will trade Garrett this week. Cabot added that such a transaction "hasn't even been discussed" by people within the Browns.
