A TAMWORTH magistrate has expressed frustration at the delays in the case of a man accused of killing his mother, after the 12-month anniversary of the death passed.
Callan Davidson appeared via video link in Tamworth Local Court from a new prison on Wednesday, October 29, and nodded and said "yep" when asked if he could hear and see the courtroom.
Legal Aid solicitor Stephanie Mulholland confirmed her client had been moved to a new location, after previously being housed in Long Bay Correctional Centre in Sydney.
The now 30-year-old is charged with murdering his mother , Cheryl Davidson, in Gunnedah in October last year, but has not been required to enter a plea in court.
The court was told a case conference was "yet to occur" because the issue of "fitness" was raised.
