New Delhi: Marizanne Kapp delivered an impactful all-round performance to help South Africa thrash England by 125 runs in the first semi-final to qualify for the final of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday. Kapp scored a valuable 42 and followed it up with a memorable five-wicket haul with the ball to power Proteas into their maiden Women’s ODI World Cup final.

Kapp’s fifer helped South Africa bundle out England for a paltry 194 runs and comfortably defend their massive total of 319 runs to register a thumping victory in the semi-final. The veteran all-rounder etched her name in history with her five-wicket haul as she surpassed India legend Jhulan Goswami to become the highest wicket-taker of all time in Women’s ODI World Cup history.
