Classes at Wilsonville High School were cancelled for Wednesday after administrators learned of a threatening message found in a boy’s bathroom stall.
The hand-written message specifically referenced Oct. 29 and threatened the “use of a weapon” at the school, according to an email sent to parents by the West Linn-Wilsonville School District.
The email doesn’t say if the message found in the bathroom referenced a specific kind of weapon — or a motive for the threat — but said that the message was specific to the high school and won’t trigger any other school closures in Wilsonville.
The school district said it contacted law enforcement immediately after discovering the message, and that while officials don’t believe that there is a credible threat to the school, the district cancelled We
