AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. — The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has charged Tyrone James, 50, of Aiken County, with kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct with a minor (3rd degree), and assault with intent to commit criminal cexual conduct (3rd degree) following an investigation requested by the Blackville Police Department.

According to SLED warrants, between August and October 2008, James allegedly drove a 15-year-old victim to a parking lot in Barnwell County, where he forced the victim into the back seat of his vehicle and sexually assaulted and confined them. A separate warrant alleges that on July 13, 2017, James assaulted another victim in a locked bedroom by pulling down the victim’s pants and underwear and attempting to commit sexual assault.
