The restaurant, which occupies a corner at Yale Avenue and First Street in the Village, has turned its dining room into a “haunt room” for Halloween.

It’s not just decked out with a few decorations. It has a fog machine and talking animatronics that interact with diners, according to owner David Molles and Kari-Lyn Molles, general manager.

City officials were impressed after a recent visit.

“It’s terrifying,” said Mayor Corey Calaycay, in a phone interview.

“It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen,” said Jennifer Deal, of the city’s Architectural and Preservation Commission.
