At least three men, two of them disguised as construction workers, broke into a New York City home and drove off with a safe and jewelry worth more than $3 million , authorities said Tuesday.

The daring heist happened on Oct. 16 at about 2:20 p.m. ET in the Jamaica Hills neighborhood of Queens, police said.

The burglars "forcibly" opened a rear door of the home and once "inside the location the individuals removed a safe and jewelry, valued at approximately" $3.2 million, according to an NYPD statement.

They were last seen fleeing east on 84th Drive in a blue Hyundai Elantra, surveillance cameras showed.
