About a year later, as office buildings across the Golden Triangle continued emptying out, Gov. Josh Shapiro announced a landmark, $600 million plan to revive the corridor.

On Wednesday, officials gathered again Downtown to celebrate a milestone: The yearlong renovation of Market Square — a key component of the governor’s plan — is now halfway complete, and still on track to wrap up before Pittsburgh hosts next year’s NFL draft.
