PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Pierre Robert, a fixture in Philadelphia radio for more than 40 years, has died.

Beasley Media Group, the parent company of radio station 93.3 WMMR, said Robert was found dead in his home on Wednesday.

The circumstances surrounding his passing are not yet known. No foul play is suspected, the company said.

A true radio icon, Pierre was one of the most recognized personalities in the City of Philadelphia. He joined the rock station back in 1981 and hosted the midday show with his unabashed love for music, his listeners, and the city.
