$1,000 per lot: New city Homestead Plan offers vacant land for purchase

Want to buy a vacant lot from the City of Buffalo? If you're doing it to build a new house or supplement your own side yard, it will cost you as little as $1,000. The city is updating its Homestead Plan with a new program to encourage the redevelopment and reuse of vacant land and abandoned properties throughout Buffalo, by selling city-owned parcels for less than the fair market value to qualified residents and organizations.
