SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Police Department Major Crimes Unit is actively investigating a deadly hit and run crash that occurred near North Freya Street and East Everett Avenue on Saturday at around 10:41 p.m.

SPD said a pedestrian was hit by a car, which then fled.

The pedestrian died as a result of their injuries. Their name has not yet been released by the Spokane County Medical Examiner.

As this is an active major crimes investigation, SPD said no other information would be released at this time.
