AAA – The Auto Club Group is urging the public to exercise extreme caution, noting that the combination of increased weekend parties, higher foot traffic from trick-or-treaters, and a greater likelihood of impaired driving creates a hazardous mix on the roads.

Historically, Halloween is already a high-risk night. Data from the NHTSA shows that in 2023, half of all crash fatalities on Halloween night were alcohol-related. With the holiday landing on a Friday, the risk is amplified.
