In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s suggestion, Delhi Police brass has directed all district DCPs to collaborate with local news channels and YouTubers to boost publicity of community policing and outreach programmes. At the DG-IG Conference in 2024, the PM had urged the senior police officers to explore taking help of social media influencers to spread messages of public interest far and wide. Officials say the objective is to showcase the good work done at the ground level and strengthen citizen-police engagement.
