CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Dozens of friends, family members and supporters of Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge spoke at Wednesday’s City Council meeting about the decision to put her on administrative leave.
Family members gave testimonies during the public comment portion, with each addressing specific council members and projects Theetge worked on collaboratively during her career.
“Chief Theetge deserves a fair process, that is transparent and deserves the respect of this body that she has served for over 35 years, that does not include dismissing her on her anniversary,” one speaker said.
Administrative leave investigation continues
Theetge remains on administrative leave while a law firm investigates the effectiveness of her leadership for $40,000.
