Alex de Minaur will again spearhead team Australia at next year’s United Cup, with the world No.6 set to avoid any potential showdown with fiancee Katie Boulter given Emma Raducanu is Great Britain’s highest-ranked women’s player.
This will be de Minaur’s fourth appearance at the United Cup, with 19-year-old Maya Joint to partner him after her rapid rise in 2025 that included singles titles in Morocco and at the Eastbourne Open.
Joint is ranked 32 in the world and will be hoping to help the Aussies go deep in the tournament after they failed to make the knockout stage back in January.
“The United Cup is going to be a lot of fun this summer,” De Minaur said, with Joint rising almost 700 spots in the rankings in just two years.
