OSBURN, Idaho – Idaho Fish and Game is asking for the public’s help gathering information about two wildlife crimes involving animals that were left dead in violation of Idaho law.

The first crime involved an elk that was shot and left to waste off Nuchols Gulch Road in Osburn. The elk was shot behind the shoulder and no meat was taken from the animal, according to Fish and Game.

Fish and Game said it believed the elk was killed on October 19.

The second crime involved a mule deer doe that was illegally killed and had its quarters and backstraps taken. It was killed during a closed season, Fish and Game said.
