A Scottish mum who watched her son die from a stab wound to the heart after an "assassination" by a gang of men has spoken of her six year wait for justice .

Tony Ferns was stabbed while he sat in his car after having just dropped his girlfriend off at her home in Thornliebank, in East Renfrewshire, reports The Daily Record.

The 33-year-old was able to drive a short distance to his home but died in front of his mother and partner after the April 2019 attack which saw four men jailed for a total of more than 80 years.

Now, his mum Phyllis has thanked those who helped secure the long-awaited sentences , saying they also brought justice for her late disabled son Mark, who a court heard had been central to the feud that sparked Tony's murder.
