The unmistakable voice of the Pembroke Lumber Kings once again echoed through the Pembroke Memorial Centre on Saturday night, Oct. 25. Before the puck dropped at the inaugural Jamie Bramburger Fall Classic, fans heard the late broadcaster’s iconic goal calls ring out, a fitting tribute to a man whose passion for the game and this community never wavered.
The charity game matchup between the Pembroke Lumber Kings Alumni and a team of Algonquin College teachers and staff brought nearly 800 people to the PMC for a night of goals, memories, and giving back. The alumni skated away with a 15–10 victory, but the biggest win was the more than $10,000 raised for local causes.
