The latest string of sunny and pleasant days is about to give way to a stormy Thursday as another coastal system moves north.
AccuWeather has the chance of precipitation at 100%, breezy with periods of heavy rain dumping around 1 ½ inches and noted there could be ponding on roadways. The National Weather Service puts the possibility of precipitation at 80-100% for southeastern Pennsylvania.
“Flooding concerns are minimal given how dry we have been,” the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, N.J., says of the storm. “When all is said and done, a widespread 1-3 inches of rainfall is expected, with most falling over a 6-to-12-hour period.
Expect showers to begin early Thursday during the overnight hours and clear out in the afternoon.
