OGDENSBURG, New York (WWNY) - A North Country business is showcasing more than 125 years of its history

United Helpers officials gathered in Ogdensburg on Wednesday to celebrate the opening of the 1898 Room.

Inside, a timeline and artifacts of the organization’s history fill the room.

It was an idea long in the making, and a St. Lawrence University internship made it possible.

“The SLU PIC intern works with us full-time for 9 weeks over the same so she was able to dedicate that entire summer to this project,” said Jordan Downing-Duke, assistant director of corporate services, United Helpers

Eileen Carnes was the SLU student who worked on the project.

Downing-Duke says they plan on adding more to it in the future.
