New light has been shed on the current fracture in the Canberra Liberals' party room, with trust breaking down within the opposition.
Days after being suspended from the party she led to the 2024 ACT election , Elizabeth Lee has ruled out joining the shadow cabinet under Leanne Castley's leadership, at least in the immediate future.
The former leader and current Liberals member for Kurrajong was suspended, along with Ginninderra MLA Peter Cain, after the pair crossed the floor to support an extra sitting week next year.
Speaking on ABC Canberra radio on Thursday, October 30, Ms Lee ruled out joining Ms Castley's shadow cabinet any time soon.
"I think that when you want to be in a shadow cabinet, there's got to be a certain level of trust," ms Lee said.
