New York State Assembly member Zohran Mamdani (D) is leading former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo by 10 points in the New York City mayoral race to succeed outgoing Mayor Eric Adams, according to a new poll.
A Quinnipiac University poll of likely voters released on Wednesday shows Mamdani in first place at 43 percent support, followed by Cuomo at 33 percent and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa at 14 percent. A separate 6 percent of survey respondents said they were undecided.
A similar poll released by the university earlier this month found Mamdani with slightly higher support, at 46 percent, and Sliwa at 15 percent. Cuomo remained stagnant at 33 percent. A separate 3 percent of respondents said they were undecided.
