JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Washington County, Tennessee Memory Gardens is conducting a Christmas toy drive for grieving children and families until Dec. 9.

Kristi Weber and Shaun Daly from the Washington County Memory Gardens said that donations are accepted for newborns up to age 19.

"The gifts will go specifically to the families with children who have lost a parent or guardianship grandparent in 2025," Weber said.

Weber said that those interested can "adopt a family" by reaching out to the facility and requesting the family's Amazon wish list. Call or text 423-268-6420 for more information.

Weber said donations will be accepted until Dec. 9. The memory garden is located at 113 Memory Gardens Rd. in Johnson City.

"We do this simply to be the light for these children," she said
