Fans of comic books, cosplay, and Native art are coming together for SkasdiCon Vol. IV — an Indigenous comic con celebrating the influence of Native identity on today’s pop culture.

The one-day event, hosted by the Cherokee Nation, takes place Saturday at the Chota Conference Center inside Cherokee Casino Tahlequah. Visitors can expect more than 60 artists and vendors, panel discussions, film screenings, a gaming area, and a cosplay competition awarding more than $4,500 in prizes.

“SkasdiCon brings together Native and non-Native communities in a fun and immersive way,” said Talisha Lewallen, Manager of Cultural Programs and Events. “It shines a light on just how deeply Native and pop culture are intertwined.”

This year’s event includes expanded gaming options provided by Warguts Esports
