BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Wearing all pink on Wednesday, the family of Madison Brooks gathered inside the 19th Judicial District Courthouse before Judge Brad Myers in hopes of having Judge Gail Ray recused.

Ray is the presiding judge over the case involving Casen Carver – the driver of the car that Madison Brooks left a Tigerland bar in before prosecutors allege she was sexually assaulted and later died while walking along Burbank Drive.

At issue is the fact that Ray knows about evidence in this case that an appeals court ruled should not be brought up, including Brooks’ sexual history.
