ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Homicide investigators are working to learn more after police say a woman was found shot inside a car on Wednesday in Atlanta.

The incident happened off Center Street in northwest Atlanta just before 9 a.m., according to the Atlanta Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found the woman with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead, they said.

Homicide investigators are still working to learn more about the incident.
