ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A man who had been on the run for since Monday night after the shooting death of his stepfather was captured Wednesday, according to the Marietta Police Department.

Pharron Banks, 26, was taken into custody around 5 p.m. at a home in Gwinnett County. Police said he was taken into custody by the Gwinnett County Police Department SWAT team.

Banks had been on the run since Monday.

Michael Jackson, 58, was killed in the shooting incident.

Jackson was found with multiple gunshot wounds at an apartment on Ridge Run in Marietta. He later died Tuesday.

Marietta police have not said what charges Banks is facing.

“Our hearts go out to the entire family, and everyone impacted by this tragedy,” Marietta police said in a statement.
