Logan said his former girlfriend had persuaded him the Muncie shooting victim had sexually abused her when she was a juvenile.

MUNCIE, IN — A Michigan man has been sentenced to 60 years in prison for a Muncie homicide.

Adonis L. Logan, now 20, was sentenced on Wednesday, Oct. 29, by Delaware Circuit Court 4 Judge John Feick.

Logan — a resident of Dearborn, a western suburb of Detroit — had pleaded guilty to murder on Oct. 1.

According to court documents, Logan fatally shot Jack R. Simpson, 55, in a home in Elgin Manor Apartments, in the 2500 block of South Elgin Street, on Sept. 16, 2023.

An affidavit said when Logan, then 18, went to the northside Muncie apartment complex on the day of the slaying, he was accompanied by his then-girlfriend, Adriana M. Dillow.
