KILLDEER, N.D. — When the NDHSAA released the schedule for the 2025 Class A football season, the Killdeer Cowboys and Trinity Titans knew that their matchup could decide who would emerge atop the Region 4 standings. While that turned out to be the case, with the Cowboys winning 27-23 on a last second touchdown , they couldn’t have predicted how the game was decided.

Trinity led 15-13 late in the fourth quarter. However, the game was suspended due to lightning and action would not resume until the following Monday. The action picked up right where it left off and Killdeer kept its undefeated record alive after the Cowboys converted on the last play of the game.

Now the stakes are even higher, with the two teams will be battling each other once again with each season on the line in the C
