A man wanted as a fugitive because he violated his statutory release after killing a woman in Dorval 19 years ago was recently arrested by Montreal police and is alleged to have been carrying a firearm.
“James Gould, 41, who had been wanted since last August on an arrest warrant for (violating) his statutory release, was finally arrested (Tuesday) night in front of an apartment building in the Côte-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough. The fugitive’s arrest was made as part of a criminal investigation initiated by the Quebec City police, in which the Montreal police organized crime section collaborated closely,” the Montreal police said in a statement on Wednesday.
